Talent Box Software Updates, April & May 2020

Below are the April & May 2020 changes to the Talentbox.app Student and Teacher websites that are used by schools.

Student site — learn.talentbox.app

• Showcase – A new page called the Showcase was added!  It is easily found via a new tab at the top of the page.  At the Showcase page, specific projects approved by teachers appear and can be viewed and downloaded by others.  Educators and students can share a showcase submission via the “Copy Link” button on a Showcase project page.
• Free Lesson – Parents can now quickly and easily sign up for a new account and try a free lesson on Talent Box, via this link: https://free.empow.me/sign-up

Teacher site — teach.talentbox.app

• Reset Password – Teachers now have the option of resetting their password if it was forgotten.  Click “Forgot password?” on the login screen and enter the email address which is associated with your account, then follow the instructions.
• System Upgrades – A new suite of administration features have been introduced which will be shared with organizations that use Talent Box.
• Send to Showcase – Teachers that approve submissions now will see a checkbox which sends approved submissions to the Showcase on the student side.
• Turkish Translation – Talent Box’s UI and a large amount of its tracks are now available in the Turkish language.  This is the first translation project that the Talent Box has undergone and has introduced new best practices for authoring and editing curriculum.

Other

• Geo Regions – Going forward, new school sign-ups will be categorized according to their geographical location.
• MailChimp Updates – New points of integration have been added for MailChimp.
