Talent Box Software Updates in February 2019

Below are the February 2019 changes to the Talentbox.app Student and Teacher sites (and in some cases, the Windows “Workspace” app) that are used by schools:

Teacher site — teach.talentbox.app

• Teachers can now see their school name in the top-left corner of the window.

Student site — learn.talentbox.app

• On the student login page, some younger students had trouble typing their passwords without being able to see them. We have added an eye icon on the “password” line that shows/hides the password for ease of typing.
• Students can now see their school name in the top-left corner of the window.
• Users of the Windows Workspace were not able to download entire folders from the website. This functionality has now been added:
  • In “My Files”, users can now download entire folders (as a zip)
    • Click “My Files”
    • Click the cloud-with-arrow icon next to the folder (or file) you wish to download
    • A pop-up download queue will appear in the bottom-right of your browser window
    • Click the downward-pointing arrow icon in that window to begin the download
• On any page, clicking the downward-pointing arrow on the top menu will open your download queue again.
• Some projects that require submissions now also contain a rubric, composed of checkboxes.  These rubrics are designed to help students reflect on their project and make sure that all learning objectives were reached.  In order to submit, each checkbox must be checked.

Windows Workspace  (v.03.02.0023)

• On the login window, there is an eye icon on the “password” line.  Clicking it toggles the visibility of the password on and off. This has the same functionality as the eye described in the student UI changes above.
• If a student has logged in before on a computer with Workspace, the app will remember the student’s name and store it in a list on the right of the login page.  Click that name to automatically type their 7-digit code.
• Some bugs were fixed which prevented syncing of files with special characters in their names.
